The Cancer of the breast and Metastasis to the Brain?I have questions. My mother had breast cancer 10 years ago and the treatment that she followed was surgery (only a slice of his breast), it was followed by the radiotherapy and finished with chemiotherapy. Six months ago another tumor was found on his breast and the followed treatment was surgery (together left it the breast abduction) and chemiotherapy. Two days ago she had the fort headache and after a scann of his head, a metastasis was found. She cannot move itself the arm and his just legs. My father hides of a manner or of another of the news to me. My mother is 66 years old. I mets't knows where in the head is localized.
I have few cold questions.
- I heard the tumor size is almost 4 centimeters. I am not sure if that is the blood that exploded tumor or the tumor himself. If that is the tumor, this is it considered big?
- I heard surgery is not an option, therefore she will go for radiology. Is the brain metastais painfull for him? Will she resume the movement on his arm and his leg?
- Which is the life expectancy in the months or the years after radiology?
Any counsel would be appreciated.
Thank you
The mauricio the doctors of agoCan of year of Details1 Additional do not be able seen the tumor in the brain after the last chemotherapy?
If is a primary one, can it grow that quickly? I mean, the hair push back just.. slower than the tumor then.
Which is easier to fight, a breast metastasis to the brain, or a primary one in the brain?

4 centimeters are considered big.
The brain met is not typically painful.
There is a good chance she will regain the movement in his arm and his leg once the tumor shrunk, as the this is often the pressure, because of the limited space in the skull that causes the symptoms.
Your last question is the hardest one to reply partially because there is not enough information, but principally because I do not think that the this is the disease of metastatic. All patients of cancer have metastatic workup before the chimio is begun. If she had the brain met they then would have been found. The only means that they could have been lacked is themselves they were too small.
During the months that followed your mom underwent chimio, therefore the evidently disease of metastatic or not, this small small tumor grew very quickly and completely big. This coupled behavior with the fact is not all were steps affected by the chimio for breast cancer indicates that the this is metastatic of the breast. I suspect the this is a primary brain.
I know that this probably is that did not count you to hear of the and probably the causes more of questions for you than I could reply. I think if you want that precise the news and replies will have speaks to you directly to the oncologue of your mother. Better wishes. The source (the sources) : I am a cancer clerk.
